英國考慮在倫敦成立人民幣清算銀行

英國財政大臣歐斯本表示，政府考慮在倫敦設立境外人民幣清算銀行，以提高流動性。

歐斯本近年來持續推動倫敦發展成為人民幣境外交易中心，並在10月放寬中國銀行業者在英國開業的相關規定。

英國央行與中國人行今年稍早也簽署人民幣換匯協議，方便倫敦交易商買賣人民幣。但境外人民幣債券市場在倫敦發展緩慢，且人民幣外匯交易目前均透過香港進行清算。

財政部金融事務秘書賈維德（Sajid Javid）說：「我們將合作維持市場流動性，包括透過成立倫敦清算銀行等清算和結算制度。」

在中國政策鬆綁後，人民幣快速被採用為國際貨幣。根據環球銀行金融電信協會（SWIFT），人民幣目前在全球最常被使用的支付貨幣排行榜上位居第十二名。
