腸病毒不是幼童專利，衛生福利部疾病管制署今天公布新確認一例腸病毒71型重症個案，是一名居住於北部的34歲男性。

疾管署指出，個案從七月上旬出現手足口病，陸續發生下肢無力，不自主抖動、發燒等疑似腦炎症狀，所幸及時就醫，目前狀況穩定。腸病毒重症常見於5歲以下的學齡前嬰幼兒，這名患者是少見的成年人感染併發重症，個案的家中幼兒已有腸病毒症狀，不排除是家中幼兒或日常生活接觸無症狀感染者傳染。

疾管署提醒，目前仍是腸病毒流行期，腸病毒傳染力極強，容易在人口密集互動密切的地方傳播，不管大人或者幼兒都可能感染，呼籲民眾養成良好衛生習慣，落實正確勤洗手。
