每日生活費29元 黑炫風傑可波衛冕脫貧

肯亞包男女雙冠
【黎建忠╱台北報導】來自肯亞29歲的傑可波，昨順利衛冕富邦馬拉松男子組冠軍，只可惜來台2次奪得冠軍，但都未能抱回200萬台幣的破紀錄獎金，他說：「每年都很期待這場比賽，前4個月我就開始調整，很高興能完成衛冕。」女子組的瑞貝卡首度來台就奪冠。

每年比賽 為媽媽而跑

傑可波說：「還沒跑步之前，一天在肯亞的生活費只有1塊美元(約29.4元台幣)，但這2年來台灣參賽，而且還拿到120萬台幣的冠軍獎金，對於我的生活改善很大，也讓我媽媽可以過得更輕鬆，每年這場比賽，我都想要為我媽媽而跑。」
雖然下大雨，但傑可波認為氣候對所有選手一樣，重點還是在自己的配速，他說：「起跑後我就試著一直跑在領先群裡，但到了河堤邊的寬闊區域後，風勢變強了，我一度以為我跑不完，直到最後1.8公里時，我才確定自己能奪冠。」
