歐巴馬稱曼德拉為世界英雄

（法新社達卡27日電）南非反種族隔離英雄曼德拉病危，美國總統歐巴馬今天稱曼德拉是「全世界的英雄」，他的精神將世代流傳。

歐巴馬在塞內加爾說：「他是我個人的英雄。我認為他是全世界的英雄，如果他離開人世，我認為我們都可確定的是，他的精神將世代流傳。」

曼德拉今天在普勒托利亞（Pretoria）醫院靠著呼吸器維生，他的身體狀況讓歐巴馬造訪南非充滿變數。歐巴馬預定明天展開南非訪問。

歐巴馬說，他是受到曼德拉啟發步入政壇。他表示，他還是計畫前往南非，並表示美國人為這位南非前總統的家人祈禱。

歐巴馬以曼德拉族名「馬迪巴」（Madiba）稱呼他，聲稱曼德拉讓他體悟到，「當心存善念且正直的人團結一致，可以在這個世界上大有作為」。（譯者：中央社張曉雯）
