北美天氣持續酷寒　至少24死

【國際中心／綜合外電報導】加拿大東部近日遭受暴風雪吹襲，多倫多至今仍約有近8萬戶停電。加拿大有5人因一氧化碳中毒喪生，另有5人因天氣惡劣，在高速公路車禍送命。美國也有14人在嚴寒天氣下死亡，酷寒天氣在美加造成至少24死。

截止當地時間周三上午，安大略省仍有4.4萬戶停電，魁北克等地也有4萬多戶沒有電力供應。當局警告，部分地區可能在周六前都無法恢復電力供應。

由於多倫多天氣持續寒冷，氣溫只有零下攝氏15度。在停電的情況下，不少民眾因在室內不當使用發電機發生一氧化碳中毒，光是過去24小時就收到110宗求助個案，。
