歐巴馬：2012大選不曾想換掉拜登

美國總統歐巴馬7日表示，在他2012年競選連任時，如果有人提議由希拉蕊(Hillary Clinton)來取代副總統拜登(Joe Biden)，他會予以否決。

對於歐巴馬在2012年總統大選時曾考慮換副手的傳言，白宮這個月初已經予以否認。歐巴馬7日在接受美國國家廣播公司新聞網(NBC News)訪問時也說，他不會同意任何這類的建議。但他並未否認幕僚曾有意以希拉蕊取代拜登來進行民調。

根據內容有關2012年選戰的新書「加倍(Double Down，暫譯)」指出，歐巴馬的高級幕僚考慮過更換拜登，但因這個做法無法大幅提升歐巴馬的勝選機率，因此作罷。

歐巴馬在訪問時說，如果當時幕僚曾問他是否希望換掉拜登，他會告訴他們自己絕不會在沒有拜登的情況下競選連任。歐巴馬說他喜歡拜登，當他無路可退時，拜登總是支持他。

白宮發言人卡尼(Jay Carney)先前在記者會上被問及此事時說，「競選活動人員與民調專家都是選戰的一部分，他們會分析很多事情；我能夠很肯定地告訴你的是，總統從未考慮換掉副總統人選，如果有人提起這個構想，他肯定一笑置之。」
