宏達電第3季營運低盪，在各競爭大廠都推出新的旗艦機之下，市場也期待宏達電的新機，不過，在新機未出前，新HTC One則是獲得美國美國科技網站評選為2013最佳智慧型手機，打敗新上市的Apple iPhone 5S，LG G2則是獲得第三名。
根據美國科技網站最新智慧型手機評選結果，前10名的手機依序是，新HTC One拿下冠軍，獲選2013最佳智慧型手機；Apple iPhone 5S居第二；LG G2擠進第三名；第四名為Samsung Galaxy S4；第五名則是Google Nexus 4 (made by LG)。
第六名至第十名依序為，Sony Xperia Z、Samsung Galaxy Note 2、Samsung Galaxy S4 Active、Sony Xperia Z1、Apple iPhone 5C。
宏達電指出，新HTC One自2013年2月發表以來，當月就獲GSMA（Global System for Mobile Communications Association，又稱全球行動通信協會）所頒發的2013 MWC全球行動通訊大獎 --「最佳新手機、裝置或平板電腦獎項」，近期再獲EISA（European Imaging and Sound Association，又稱歐洲影音協會）所頒發的「2013－2014年歐洲最佳高階智慧型手機」大獎。
宏達電表示，新HTC One新色也在持續推出中，7月發表魅麗紅、9月再推出極光藍，與台灣電信業者共同推出HTC One極光藍32GB版本，單機建議售價為20900元，1日起在全省各大電信門市及HTC專賣店同步開賣。
