奇美在2013台北多媒體展前一天發表65吋及50吋4K UHD電視（攝影／記者甘偉中）

2013台北多媒體大展5日開跑，CHIMEI搶在展前一日發表4K UHD 65吋及50吋超高解析度電視，並宣佈以同日系品質規格，卻不到一半的價格，即日起開放預購。民眾並可在多媒體大展中搶先體驗CHIMEI 4K UHD電視的風采。
CHIMEI在去年底資訊月中首次展出84吋超大螢幕4K UHD電視，不過主要面向商用市場，並未普及一般家庭。這次65吋及50吋大眾化尺寸首次亮相，正式宣告走入家用市場。
CHIMEI兩台4K電視解析度均為3840x2160，是Ful HD高畫質的四倍，擁有3D功能但不具聯網能力。CHIMEI品牌營銷長沈永偉表示，目前聯網電視市佔在20%以下，並且依現況要透過網路欣賞4K品質的內容效果並不佳，因此沒有把聯網功能內建。

CHIMEI 65吋4K UHD電視售價109,000元，50吋售價59,900元，即日起開放預購，50吋電視消費者可在這個月月底拿到，65吋電視則要到下個月才可入手。
發表會中CHIMEI並宣佈與上海世博台灣館製作團隊－頑石創意合作，在7月5日至9月29日於國父紀念館舉行的「圓明園－大清皇帝最美的夢」數位典藏特展中，獨家贊助4K UHD電視。策展單位頑石創意也同時將清朝義大利傳教士－德理格，為康熙皇帝所創作的《內普里迪小提琴奏鳴曲》樂譜，贈與同樣愛好小提琴演奏的奇美集團創辦人許文龍先生。
