夫妻橫屍沙漠　死因活活渴死

【綜合報導】在溫度可高達攝氏50度的沙漠中，一女子被發現死在翻覆的車底，距離女子10公里外，又發現一具男屍，顯然是想求援，或是尋找水源，2人在空曠貧瘠的沙漠上活活渴死。
 
這對死亡的男女，是來自卡達的夫妻，親戚發現他們失聯後，通報警方尋找，這對夫妻開車前往魯卜哈利沙漠，又稱空曠的四分之一(Empty Quarter)，因為這片沙漠面積佔阿拉伯半島四分之一而得名，這裡雖然蘊藏豐富的油田，不過方圓百里內，可是草木貧瘠，一滴水都找不到。
 
這對夫妻前來這裡探查自己的土地，對當地應該非常熟悉，警方研判可能是汽車發生問題，才導致這場不幸的悲劇。
