美國艾森豪獎金會(Eisenhower Fellowships Inc.,，簡稱EF)宣布，2013年艾森豪獎金得主，復興航空董事長林明昇獲頒「中國信託辜濓松學人」(Chinatrust Jeffrey Koo Fellowship)」計畫殊榮，這也是全球第一位獲得此項榮耀的學人。由美國艾森豪獎金會董事長鮑威爾(Gen. Colin Powell)於美東時間5月16日在年會中親自頒贈得獎學人證書及「中國信託辜濓松學人」頭銜。

復興航空董事長林明昇以其傑出的管理才能與世界觀獲得此項殊榮，經過一連串嚴格評估之後，由美國艾森豪獎金會主動提名林明昇董事長入選「中國信託辜濓松學人」計畫，經艾森豪獎金中華民國協會評估同意後，成為全球第一人獲頒此項計畫殊榮的學人。

復興航空近年來持續擴大營運規模，計畫購買新機數量高達32架，為國籍航空之冠，陸續開闢泰國曼谷、日本大阪、沖繩、北海道等亞洲主要航點，國際航線15條，飛往12個城市。待張家界正式開航後，復興航空在兩岸直航航線增為24條，飛往中國14個城市，兩岸航網更加綿密完整。

美國艾森豪獎金會每年審慎地從世界各國中，遴選具有高度學識修養且對該國有相當貢獻的青年領導者，由美國艾森豪獎金會安排赴美考察訪問7週。美國艾森豪獎金會2013年遴選出包括復興航空林明昇董事長在內的二十二名全球青年領袖，林明昇董事長的領導能力再獲國際肯定，躋身全球青年領袖之列。
