【王毓健／高雄報導】2014年台苯男子桌球明星邀請賽今展開分組循環預賽最後賽程，臺灣一哥莊智淵在所屬B組次輪遇日本一哥、左手怪傑水谷隼，第4局以12比10險勝，局數追成2比2平手。
 
莊智淵開局4比1領先，但隨後壓制不住水谷隼反拍陷劣勢。但他7比10落後時包括化解3個賽末點在內連拿5分，反而逆轉在長局後拿下。
