【王烱華／台南報導】總統馬英九上午在台南歸仁主持陸軍航空特戰指揮部「AH-64E直升機」接機典禮，馬英九特別登上直升機，並戴上AH-64E引進的新式飛行頭盔，還特別用大姆指比「讚」，向國人表達AH-64E的戰力。

根據在場飛行官解釋說，AH-64E的頭盔能夠將雷達偵搜所得的資訊，直接投影在護目鏡上，讓飛行員不管頭轉到那個位置，都可以了解戰場情況，不必低頭看前方的儀表，駕駛員的頭盔會與機上連線，隨著飛官的頭部轉動，機砲就會自動指向目光所及的方向。不過，新式頭盔所費不貲，每個造價將近新台幣兩百萬元。
