英國牛津字典出版社19日公布2013年度風雲單字為「自拍」（selfie，或selfy）。出版社表示，過去一年中，「自拍」這個字不僅廣泛流通使用，更迅速成為最為人所知的新創字。

根據美聯社的報導，隨著行動裝置普及與即時通訊軟體推特（Twitter）或Instagram的推波助瀾，連美國第一夫人蜜雪兒（Michelle Obama）與下屆美國總統熱門人選的希拉蕊（Hillary Clinton）都無法抗拒今年這股自拍的風潮，因此「自拍」當選牛津字典2013年度風雲單字，受之無愧。

過去牛津字典曾選出的年度風雲單字包括2005年的「數獨」（Sudoku）、2007年的「碳足跡」（carbon footprint）、2008年的「信貸緊縮」（credit crunch）、2009年的「解除（臉書）好友關係」（unfriend）以及去年的「全面失控」（omnishambles），都可一窺該年的流行事物與熱門話題。
