美國學者把蒐集60多年的四千多昆蟲標本捐給哥斯達黎加

美國一個生物學家，把他蒐集了六十多年的四千多個昆蟲標本，全部捐給哥斯達黎加。

（惠頓）是美國人，不過在哥斯達黎加住了16年，他與妻子最近決定回美國定居，好幾所美國大學都想爭取他畢生心血的寶藏，最後他決定捐給哥斯達黎加的大學，因為對方承諾永久展示他的蒐藏。

惠頓蒐集的昆蟲包括巨大的蠍子、毒蜘蛛、螳螂、蝴蝶等許多難得一見的奇珍異種，一位生物學教授形容它是無價之寶。（圖片取材自網路）
