生活中有許多機會與機緣，而吳雪芬抓住了這些機會，成功為自己開創出另一條路。

由世新大學新聞傳播學院、文化部影視及流行音樂產業局以及中華演藝文化協會共同舉辦的「戲話人生‧資深藝人」系列講座，23日邀請資深藝人-吳雪芬到校演講，吳雪芬慷慨地和同學分享一路在演藝圈內闖蕩的心路歷程。
吳雪芬自高中畢業後，便進入演藝圈當歌手，白天上通告、晚上跑場演唱，365天只有除夕能好好休息，對此，吳雪芬感到疲累，因此她決定轉戰當演員，演出過多部戲劇，事業有成的吳雪芬往後的演藝生活相當豐富。
從事過多項演藝工作，編劇、作詞作曲、唱片製作、晚會製作等。演藝生活雖然相當辛苦，但吳雪芬並不後悔進入這個行業，她說，雖然過程辛苦但歷練豐富。
除了演藝事業，吳雪芬在生活中也發現新契機。在一次成功促成一對佳偶的機緣後，吳雪芬建立單身複合式歌友會，期望能促成更多對佳偶，並也在複合式歌友會會員的鼓勵下，往古董買賣的領域邁進，加入收藏家俱樂部。

演講過程中，同學熱烈發問，吳雪芬也毫不吝嗇的分享在演藝圈闖蕩需要的小訣竅。她告訴同學人際關係很重要，要能運用智慧將事情圓滿解決。而在自我提升上則要不停止的學習，並多涉獵才能得到源源不絕的靈感。新聞傳播學院院長陳清河也予以呼應，提醒同學，在資源匱乏的環境面對挫折時，要能找到生命的出口及轉折。
最後，吳雪芬也告訴大家，雖然要有幾把刷子，但不要浪費時間，抓住喜歡的，只要有勇氣踏出來就值得鼓勵。
