阿巴斯邀教宗訪問聖地

巴勒斯坦自治政府主席阿巴斯(Mahmud Abbas)今天(17日)邀請天主教教宗方濟各(Pope Francis)訪問聖地耶路撒冷。阿巴斯現在正在梵蒂岡作客，邀請教宗訪問聖地。

阿巴斯是在教宗接見後，告訴梵蒂岡的外交部長孟百第總主教(Archbishop Dominique Mamberti)說：「(我與教宗見面)感到相當愉快，我邀請教宗訪問聖地。」

以色列總統裴瑞斯(Shimon Peres)也在今年稍早邀請教宗訪問耶路撒冷，以國總理尼坦雅胡(Benjamin Netanyahu)預定這個月23日前往梵蒂岡訪問，教宗也將親自接見他。

教宗已經表示，他想要前往聖地訪問，但是梵蒂岡方面還未確認行程。不過，以色列第二電視台報導，教宗將於明年3月前往聖地訪問。

教宗說過，他想要與伊斯坦堡東正教普世牧首巴爾多祿茂一世(Bartholomew I)，一起訪問聖地。

阿巴斯是第四位前往梵蒂岡晉見教宗的中東領袖，在他之前有裴瑞斯、黎巴嫩總統史雷曼(Michel Sleiman)及約旦國王阿布杜拉(King Abdullah)。
