洋聯分居1、2名的東北樂天金鷹隊、千葉羅德海洋，雙方正面對決一路鏖戰到延長賽才分出勝負，11局下，羅德鐵捕里崎智也從樂天第6任投手小山伸一郎手中，敲出右外野再見全壘打，幫助羅德以6比5擊敗樂天，將落後洋聯榜首樂天的勝差縮小至4.5場。

福岡軟體銀行鷹和西武獅的交手，軟銀的中村晃、江川智晃以及柳田悠岐都有全壘打演出，其中，軟銀鷹在6局上大舉進攻，一口氣打了9個人次，利用6支安打，進帳6分奠定勝基，終場便以11比3擊敗西武獅，拿下2連勝。

至於，中日龍和東京養樂多燕子的對決，兩隊加總共敲出28支安打，包括川端慎吾以及Wladimir Balentien的全壘打在內，養樂多就包辦18支安打，Balentien更以41轟暫居央聯全壘打王，反觀中日龍雖然有10支安打，卻沒辦法將攻勢串聯，終場養樂多以12比2擊敗中日龍。
