農委會表示，現階段狂犬病防制以全面推動犬、貓疫苗注射及全民防疫衛教為主，僅針對確診狂犬病案例地區，配合捕捉流浪犬收容、施打疫苗及提供認養，防杜疫情由野生動物擴散至犬貓，其餘地區捕犬作業仍依平常方式辦理，絕未以撲殺流浪犬貓為防疫政策。
