錦織圭成功闖進十六強後，可以對自己的紀錄再興奮一點！
為什麼這麼說？因為他是自1938年的中野文照後，再次打進法網十六強的日本選手。
「抱歉，我對歷史不是這麼了解。」錦織圭表示，並不曉得自己締造了日本75年來的法網紀錄。
〈今日美國〉報導，錦織圭是日本網球崛起的代表性人物，而他領銜的一票日本好手，是最才華洋溢的一個世代，去年錦織圭、添田豪和伊藤龍馬排名皆在百大。
這是ATP從1973年推出排名系統以來首次，若放大到200名，日本現在有5名選手在其中，也是歷史新高。
義大利網球學院助理教練Bob Brett表示，日本國內過去因為有密集與獎金優渥的比賽，選手較少在國際間闖蕩，但這種情況已經逐漸改變，Brett是昔日名將松岡修造的教練之一。 (接下一頁)
