厄普頓兄深陷低潮 傳將被下放小聯盟

勇士賈斯汀．厄普頓(Justin Upton)的打擊表現最近雖然下滑不少，全壘打排名也跌到第五，但在陣中還是保有一定的地位，那哥哥呢？厄普頓(B.J. Upton)本季的表現相當不理想，傳出球隊考慮將他下放小聯盟。

勇士隊以5年7千5百萬簽下厄普頓，但2個月過去了，他的貢獻寥寥無幾，163個打席繳出1成53的打擊率、9分打點、4支全壘打令人失望的成績單，和弟弟相比真的是差很大。

為了要挽救厄普頓的打擊能力，傳出球隊有意要將他送去小聯盟找回身手，但在大聯盟打滾9年的厄普頓可能會拒絕這樣做法，總教練岡薩雷茲(Fredi Gonzalez)也坦承這很不容易，「這是很難下的決定，你必須要很認真的去想。」

岡薩雷茲繼續說道，「和其他教練一起討論問題，肩上的重擔總會輕一些，這樣讓我感到輕鬆些，但這次這決定你還要去考慮到是球隊25人名單、6位長官、4位球團高層，還有球迷。」

下放之前，厄普頓目前早已被拉下先發陣容，岡薩雷茲表示，「他知道這樣做的重點，而且我們已經談過了，他也在努力調整，我們會看到效果。」

除了厄普頓，陣中還有兩位球員打擊表現也令人失望，分別是烏格拉(Dan Uggla)和海渥德(Jason Heyward)兩人打擊率皆不到2成，但烏格拉本季有10轟的表現，海渥德的表現跟厄普頓相較之下也比較好，所以目前球隊想盡快調整的第一件事就是厄普頓的打擊。
