科學家最近發現，我們銀河系的鄰居－仙女座星系的黑洞數量比想像中多出許多。麻煩的是，仙女座星系正快速移動，預計四十億年後就會撞上銀河系。
根據六月底出刊的天體物理期刊（APJ），物理學家透過X射線觀測離地球約250萬光年的仙女座星系（Andromeda Galaxy, 也稱M31星系），又找到26個「準黑洞（black hole candidates,BHCs）」，其中12個訊號強烈、14個「很可能是」。
在我們所處的大星系中，就屬仙女座星系規模排第一，銀河系第二。加上這次所發現，仙女座星系的黑洞已發現35個，銀河系則已發現50個。物理學家們並估計，仙女座星系的黑洞數量，可能是原先預估的三倍多。
由於宇宙正在不斷膨脹，所以我們看到的星系多數都在遠離我們，因而出現紅移現象。但仙女座星系與銀河系比鄰而居，受彼此重力吸引，使得她成了少數正朝我們而來、呈藍移的星系。
根據美國太空總署（NASA）與太空科學研究所（STScI）的合作觀測資料，估算仙女座星系會在四十億年後撞上銀河系，也就是以每小時40萬公里的速度接近銀河系；以這個速度，從地球到月球只要一小時。

從國中開始就喜歡地科，高中後接觸老師的課程更確定自己喜歡這個領域。我覺得可以看到摸到實際的大自然，更能感受知識的有趣。

從沒看過老師用那麼多電子產品教學。老師常在臉書上分享月亮圓缺等知識，也曾帶全班用望遠鏡觀測太陽黑子，印象很深刻。

謝老師教學生動，也很會引導學生，最厲害的是善用電子產品教學，畢竟地科不是文字就可以解釋的，有時看影片幫助更大。
