| 竹縣五峰交通中斷 縣府空投物資救援

蘇力颱風在新竹縣造成嚴重災情，通往後山南清公路柔腸寸斷，雖然人員無礙，但三千多位村民對外交通完全中斷，民生用品和食物短缺，縣府今天請空警隊以空投方式協助居民解決。(彭清仁報導)
新竹縣五峰鄉這次受蘇力颱風重創，最主要的聯外道路南清公路，有多處坍方路基流失，而且愈往後山道路坍方情形愈嚴重，不少路段坍榻長度都超過一百公尺，也讓五峰鄉三千多位居民對外交通中斷，有斷糧之虞。縣長邱鏡淳前往勘災後，也指示有關單位在一週內務必搶通，至少要維持單線通車。由於山區居民有斷糧危機，縣府昨天下午在縣府廣場開始打包裝卸食品和民生用品，今天請空警隊進行災區空投，希望讓村民暫時渡過難關。
另外，新竹縣芎林鄉通往竹東重要橋樑的舊中正大橋，由於橋面八十多公尺整個掉落橋下，短時間搶修不易，縣府也打算儘快向中央爭取補助，以興建斜張橋為主，並可望在下個月發包。至於高接梨、水蜜桃、水稻等農損，目前仍由各鄉鎮公所和縣府農業處進一步調查當中。北埔鄉外坪村的道路也多處坍方，造成八名來自台北和彰化的禪修民眾被困山上，消防局據報後，則是派人以徒步和拉繩索方式，將八位民眾救出，並專車送到高鐵站返家。
