| 美國男子從橋上跳水 壓傷戲水男子

美國一名男子從橋上跳水，壓傷在河裡戲水的一名男子。
這起意外發生在美國蒙大拿，一名叫安迪的男子跟太太，星期天抱著汽車輪胎在河裡戲水，突然被一個從橋上跳下來的男子砸中。
跳水男子和他朋友把安迪救起，送到岸邊，還向安迪不停地道歉。安迪被砸傷後，雙腿骨折，今年夏天都要坐輪椅或拄拐杖了。而跳水砸傷安迪的男子，因為過失傷人，可能要吃上官司。

| 史諾登曾傳出可離開機場 律師澄清未獲許可

美國中情局前僱員史諾登，一度傳出可以離開莫斯科機場過境區，但他的代表律師澄清，史諾登未有移民當局發出證明，未能離開。
美國強調，對史諾登如果獲准離開機場，感到極度失望。

| 白宮提名前總統甘迺迪女兒出任駐日大使

白宮宣佈，總統歐巴馬將正式提名前總統甘迺迪的女兒卡羅琳，成為美國駐日本大使。
歐巴馬在白宮一份簡短的聲明中，讚揚卡羅琳及另外獲提名其他職位的人選，都是富有經驗的公僕，期望眾人可以為國家作出貢獻。
今年56歲的卡羅琳在哈佛大學畢業，也擁有紐約哥倫比亞法學院的學位，多年來從事教育及學術方面的工作，目前是甘迺迪圖書館基金會的總裁，及哈佛大學政治學系高級顧問委員會主席，1994至2011年期間，曾出任美國總統政見辯論委員會的董事局成員。
有消息指稱，東京政府對卡羅琳被提名出使日本感到興奮。
