| 農委會：未以撲殺流浪犬貓方式處理疫情

農委會表示，現階段狂犬病防制以全面推動犬、貓疫苗注射及全民防疫衛教為主，僅針對確診狂犬病案例地區，配合捕捉流浪犬收容、施打疫苗及提供認養，防杜疫情由野生動物擴散至犬貓，其餘地區捕犬作業仍依平常方式辦理，絕未以撲殺流浪犬貓為防疫政策。

| 洪仲丘案審判長:維護民主核心價值

洪仲丘死亡案，北部地方軍事法院昨晚重審涉案戒護士陳毅勳羈押案，陳當庭表示願接受羈押以待調查，但合議庭最後仍裁定維持原15萬元交保裁定。
審判長張煥熙強調，人身自由是民主法治國家的核心價值，更是軍司法捍衛的對象，軍法不僅在整飭軍紀，更是官兵權利的守護者，為確保國軍官兵人身自由，難以同意陳毅勳的請求。
另外，陳毅勳1日羈押訊問庭、5日重審羈押庭，審判長、兩位審判官都是同一組人，北部軍事地方法院強調，這是法院分案「法官恆一」原則，同一案都由同一組審判官審理，並非巧合或刻意安排。

| 遭禁賽211場 A-Rod：感到失望誓言上訴

美國職棒大聯盟(MLB)紐約洋基(New York Yankees)球星「A-Rod」羅德里格斯(Alex Rodriguez)5日誓言，將就他的211場禁賽處分提出上訴，表示他對大聯盟的這項處置感到失望。
「A-Rod」發表聲明說，他對這項懲處感到失望，並打算上訴抗爭。「A-Rod」的上訴，顯然是針對他聲稱MLB主席塞里格(Bud Selig)對他實施從8日起到2014年球季結束為止的禁賽處分是超出職權的說法。
MLB則表示，這項處置是合理的，因為他們已經證實「A-Rod」不只使用增強體能的藥物，還試圖阻撓他們對位於佛羅里達州的「生源論抗老化中心」(Biogenesis)禁藥醜聞的調查。
有數十名其他球員5日都因為「生源論抗老化中心」的調查，接受了50場禁賽的處罰，他們的禁賽將立即生效。但「A-Rod」因為在提出上訴期間仍可出賽，因此預期他將在5日晚間披上洋基球衣上場，而這也將在他本球季首度出賽。
