政府拆除大埔農戶，引發不少農民團體的不滿，本週將舉行一連串的行動，包括18日走上凱道舉行「把國家還給人民 818拆政府」行動，農團除了要向政府嗆聲，也要緊盯司法，要求檢調追查苗栗縣長劉政鴻任內，是否有炒作土地等不法情事。
大埔事件發生後，農民團體不斷藉由不同方式表達訴求，除了不定時在總統馬英九、副總統吳敦議、行政院長江宜樺等人公開行程舉牌抗議，就算馬英九出訪中美洲，也隨處可見嗆聲民眾。
15日上午，更有聲援大埔的民眾假扮陸客團，在無預警的情況下直接衝進行政院，用紅色漆彈、水球與雞蛋砸向政院中央大樓，象徵性的強拆政府。
根據規劃，農團今(16)日要在苗栗縣政府前參加「拆政府‧守護苗栗音樂晚會」，接著18日要在凱道舉行「把國家還給人民 818拆政府」行動。
農團表達訴求，希望主事者劉政鴻必需出面公開道歉，同時賠償強拆損害，同時也緊盯檢調單位，立即調查劉任內所有土地炒作不法情事，同時也要檢視遭拆土地後續使用情況。
農團表示，當天凱道將架起民主已死的靈堂，希望能號召民眾以非暴力抗爭行動、彰顯政府的不公不義，農團預估，當天可能會有上萬人參加。

| 統一、維力 親事告吹

統一企業與維力食品要結親，公平會不准，法院也不同意，這門親事確定告吹。法官指出，統一與維力的結合，不利益整體消費大眾，因此禁止兩公司結合。
最高行政法院昨天宣判，統一申請結合維力事件，上訴駁回。今年4月11日，台北高等行政法院判決，這兩公司的結合，「對限制競爭的不利益大於整體經濟利益」，所以依公平交易法第12條第1項規定禁止統一與維力結合；統一不服，提起上訴。
判決書指出，統一企業擬間接持有維力食品超過三分之一股份，於是在2008年間向公平會申報事業結合。2008年9月10日，公平會不予同意，公平法第12條第1項有關「許可的限制」明文規定，事業結合的申報，如其結合對整體經濟利益大於限制競爭的不利益者，中央主管機關不得禁止其結合。
易言之，如果兩公司的結合，其利益大於消費大眾的利益，公平會就不應准許兩公司所要結合的申請案。
不過統一企業又在2010年7月2日以擬間接持有維力超過三分之一股份，並直接或間接控制維力的業務經營或人事任免，向公平會申報事業結合。2010年年9月8日公平會再度公布審議決定，仍然不予同意。
統一因而打起行政訴訟，統一認為，兩事業的結合目標在於追求國際化能力的強化，也就是結合雙方力量提升國際競爭力，且結合結果仍維持原有國內競爭模式，不會對消費者產生不利影響。
