| 感染「食腦變形蟲」 美男童3週喪命

拿著棉花糖，笑得好開心，活潑好動的美國佛州12歲男童札克，卻在短短3個星期之後，虛弱地在病床上，失去了呼吸。死亡男童札克的家屬：「札克很熱愛學習，他總是班上的領袖人物，他(札克)是個開心果，帶來很多歡樂，總是吸引大家注意。」
痛失家裡的開心果，家屬強忍悲痛，要送小男孩最後一程，而奪走札克性命的，是一種罕見的食腦變形蟲。網路新聞：「根據CNN報導，這種寄生蟲非常罕見，美國在2001到2010年只發生過32起，最常發生在東南部溫暖的水中。」
札克8月初，和朋友在家附近的空地玩滑板，回家後出現類似感冒的症狀，去看醫生，沒想到卻被診斷出受到罕見的阿米巴原蟲感染，可能是當時地上的積水，含有這種寄生蟲，罕見的福氏奈格里阿米巴原蟲，會從人的鼻腔爬進大腦，逐漸吃掉腦細胞，致死率高達99%。
雖然醫生用實驗性藥物為他治療，但還是回天乏術。死亡男童札克的家屬：「不管結果如何，這還是個勝利，還是有值得慶祝的，就是札克的人生。」
家屬決定捐出札克的器官，讓來不及長大的生命，用另一種形式延續下去。

| 「.CN」遭到史上最大規模駭客攻擊

中國大陸「.CN」域名昨天凌晨開始遭到歷來最大規模的攻擊，多家網站及新浪微博客戶端無法登錄。大陸「中國互聯網絡信息中心」（CNNIC）發表聲明說，「.CN」域名解析節點受到拒絕服務攻擊，目前攻擊仍在持續，不過一些服務已逐步恢復。
「.CN」域名是大陸國家註冊的頂級域名，由「中國互聯網絡信息中心」負責管理，對普通個人開放申請。信息中心在聲明中說，8月25日凌晨零點起，「.CN」域名解析節點受到拒絕服務攻擊，經處置後2點服務恢復正常，但到凌晨4點多，再次受到有史以來最大規模的拒絕服務攻擊，部分網站解析受到影響，導致訪問緩慢或中斷。
資安專家指出，全球各地針對伺服器發動的攻擊已有很多次，從這次事件看來，駭客的攻擊能力正在提升。目前還無法了解攻擊能夠持續多久時間。
