日本野村證券總合研究所首席經濟學家辜朝明今天說，比起日本，台灣沒有大型泡沫經濟後不敢投資的「創傷症候群」，不必對經濟發展太悲觀，重點在怎麼活絡景氣。他建議台灣可向日本學習安倍的第三支箭，鬆綁法規、加強稅賦誘因，創造投資機會，「讓人民覺得投資台灣是對的」。

辜朝明為前總統府資政辜寬敏之子，也是日本首相安倍晉三重要經濟顧問，小英教育基金會今天邀請辜朝明以「安倍經濟學的挑戰」為題演講，民進黨前主席蔡英文和辜寬敏都出席聽講。辜朝明全程以英文演講，與會者最好奇的是，台灣能從「安倍經濟學」中獲得什麼借鏡？

辜朝明說，台灣和日本、美國一樣，都面臨中國大國崛起和全球化的挑戰，「後有追兵，台灣應該Run Faster（跑快一點）」。他表示，「人才」是最寶貴的資產，台灣應改造教育體系，鼓勵「好人才」出頭；他以自身在國外生活多年的經驗建議，台灣可比照美國，從小鼓勵學生挑戰老師，培養「挑戰」的精神。
