法國是歐錦賽4強的常客，卻總是與總冠軍無緣，這次終於「鍍金」了；由帕克率領的法國男籃昨天80：66擊敗立陶宛奪隊史首冠，帕克榮獲最有價值球員。
對上立陶宛，法國取勝的關鍵在於第2節。原本立陶宛的克瑞查攻下16後讓立陶宛維持兩分領先，但法國隊的主力球員之一貝頓適時扛起得分責任，一波21：3的攻勢中貝頓就包辦8分，上半場結束法國領先多達16分，立陶宛再無機會追近。

帕克準決賽對上西班牙猛轟32分，昨天只拿12分仍受封MVP，但法國並不是贏在一人球隊，低潮許久的貝頓在最重要的一役甦醒；他繳出17分、6籃板，加上3顆三分外線也是重要火力。
法國隊迪奧拿下15分，紓緩了立陶宛緊盯帕克的壓力。法國去年曾殺進決賽但輸給西班牙，今年準決賽復仇成功後，總算一嘗多年渴望，拿下歐洲籃球的金杯。
帕克拿下MVP後，卻傳出他有極高機率將會缺席明年世界杯男籃賽，帕克的父親告訴法國當地媒體，表示兒子NBA季外征戰不斷，明年將會休養生息，專心拚戰2015年的奧運資格賽和2016年里約奧運，並預定2016年打完奧運後就高掛國家隊戰袍。
歐錦賽季軍戰則由西班牙勝出，西國以92：66痛宰克羅埃西亞，吐一口衛冕失敗怨氣。
