| 新聞解碼》黃聿清：打破新二代迷思 盼媒體給予更多空間

以往新聞媒體，對於台灣人民與外籍配偶所生育的「新二代」存在許多成見。世新大學廣播電視電影學系黃聿清教授，透過她與新二代接觸的經驗來打破迷思，除了在語言上具有優勢，同時也具有不同國家文化的知識，並提出他們其實非常有潛力，成為台灣將來優秀的人才。
依據黃聿清的觀察，現在新聞媒體對於新二代的報導，都會冠上新移民之子，其中有些許負面的形容詞，像弱勢或素質差等，易使民眾產生負面聯結。黃聿清說，在暑假期間她與許多新二代接觸，與一般印象不同的是，新移民不只有來自東南亞，也有來自波蘭、韓國、埃及等國家。然而，大家都忽略的是，他們具有語言優勢，他們的家庭環境多元且特別。
另外， 黃聿清也提到，她之前在台灣很多地方教過許多人使用攝影機，去讓他們學習「說故事」。在這次的活動中也有相同的課程，她發現這些孩子表達能力不輸台灣孩子，且他們有很強烈的好奇心，這與我們透過媒體接收的消息是有落差的。在未來，希望能夠給新二代些許的可能性及話語權，讓台灣的新聞媒體有更多樣的面貌。
黃聿清舉例，在新北市有一至兩百個國籍的新移民，由此可見台灣其實很多元，他們所孕育的下一代不但具有語言優勢，同時部分孩子也了解兩個國家的文化。黃聿清說，有些人認為，混血兒比較聰明。雖然這不必然，但若有些資源能夠挹注在他們身上，就如內政部長李鴻源所說:「這群孩子在二十年後，會是台灣佈局東南亞最大的優勢。」
最後，黃聿清也說，這些新二代除了母語流利，在當地也有人脈，會是生意人合作的好對象。她並強調「這才是台灣進步的角度」，希望媒體開放更多的空間給這些新台灣之子，讓新聞內容有更多元的呈現。
