| 卑南青少棒 獲贈經費新球具

培育無數棒球好手的台東卑南國小及卑南國中，長期受限學校經費，訓練非常克難，經校友的協助，台北及高雄扶輪社聯合捐贈該兩校37萬訓練經費及球具乙批，小選手拿到新球具，非常興奮。
捐贈儀式於昨天在卑南國中學生活動中心舉行。台東縣長黃健庭、縣議長饒慶鈴、台東市長陳建閣都到場見證，國際扶輪社3480地區第三分區助理總監蔡銘哲、前助理總監李錦雲、台北朝陽扶輪社社長李輝煌、台北蓬萊扶輪社前白金耳及各扶輪社社長、社友等人，特別從台北抵東參加捐助儀式。
「打出好成績，就是最好回報」，蔡銘哲助理總監表示，卑南國中及卑南國小以往在各項賽事都有很好成績，如本月初由紅葉國小及卑南國小組成的棒球隊，參加第10屆南亞盃少棒賽奪得冠軍，更是令人振奮，這次捐出款項及球具，希望能讓選手們打出更好的成績。
黃健庭指出，台東縣是全國最貧窮的縣，縣政財政狀況不佳情形，選手的訓練環境完全無法和其他縣市相比，但選手非常爭氣，打出優異的成績，希望在挹注新球具後，會有更好的表現。
