位於墨西哥恰帕斯州的蘇米德羅峽谷有著世界上最奇特的瀑布Arbol de Navidad，大自然的鬼斧神工造就了它酷似聖誕樹的外形。蘇米德羅峽谷擁有數支瀑布，從地面上望去，大多數瀑布不見蹤影，唯有巨大的『聖誕樹』瀑布清晰可見。覆蓋有苔蘚的綠色岩石橫空出世般懸掛在山腰上，像極了聖誕樹的枝葉。從山洞裡湧出的水也更是為這棵『聖誕樹』錦上添花。

環球網據美媒報導，據當地教授Sergio稱，這棵『聖誕樹』距今已有1000多年的歷史，是由大自然水文迴圈和岩石風化侵蝕作用形成的。然而不幸的是，『聖誕樹』瀑布正面臨著威脅。頻繁的人為破壞導致瀑布長期斷流，因此『聖誕樹』瀑布正慢慢走上枯竭。兩年前官方人員首次發現岩石出現剝落狀況，隨後便派地質專家前往實地對岩層進行勘察，希望找出問題所在，並提出切實可行的解決辦法。

報導稱，蘇米德羅峽谷是一個天然聚寶盆，除『聖誕樹』瀑布外還有30條急流，4支瀑布，兩股淡水泉，3處淺灘和一座3公尺寬的圍堰，更有一些瀕危物種棲息於此。
