港府回應元旦遊行　稱普選是各方願望

香港政府發言人回應元旦遊行時表示，特區政府尊重市民遊行及發表意見的權利，重申落實2017年普選，是中央、特區政府及廣大市民的共同願望，也是行政長官及本屆政府的憲制責任和重要施政目標。

至於佔領中環行動發起有關普選議題的「投票」，政府發言人強調，特區的政治體制內不存在相關安排。

發言人強調，任何就普選的建議均須符合《基本法》和人大常委會相關決定，能得到立法會通過、行政長官同意和全國人大常委會批准，及在實際操作上切實可行，才能有機會落實。
