施密特：我在 Google 最大的錯誤是錯過了社交網路

3925abcad09c1141d995d7a1ee497236 「Well, mistake , really.」說出這三個單詞，是 Eric Schmidt 施密特今天在接受彭博社採訪的時候的最感慨時刻。他正在感嘆那些年錯過社交網站的發展機遇。

我在Google 犯的最大錯誤，就是沒有（讓Google）在網絡社交興起的時候參加進來。

身著黑色西裝，畫面背景也是一片黑色，Eric Schmidt 施密特神情有一些困窘。他暫停了一下，繼續說下去。「但我們不會再犯這樣的錯誤了。雖然要為此辯護，我依然可以說當時我們在做其他的項目，但我們本應該加入大潮的，我對此有責任。」

 

這是施密特首次在公開場合表達自己對錯過機會的後悔感受。施密特在 2001 到 2011 年間擔任 Google 的CEO，然後 Larry Page 賴利佩吉接過了首席執行長的位置。施密特現在成了拉里佩奇和聯合創始人 Sergey Brin 布林的首席顧問。

在施密特退位的同一年，Google 自家的社交網絡平台 Google+ 上線參與競爭，截止到 2013 年 10 月，該社交網路平台已經擁有 5.4 億活躍用戶，對比起早年進入社交網絡領域的 Facebook 和 Twitter 「億」級的用戶數來說並不遜色。

施密特除了在訪談當中表示後悔和遺憾，還預測了 2014 年網際網路的大趨勢——智慧手機的的爆炸式增長。

對於消費者來說，最大的變化就是每個人都將會擁有一台智慧手機。能隨時與一部超級電腦連接，就意味著娛樂、溝通、社交的應用方式也進入了新的時代。
