聯合國呼籲各地政府及機構，由11月底起連續16天，舉辦活動反對性別暴力，行動明天結束。北京女權青年，在地鐵列車上唱歌希望引起關注。

中國婦聯表示，兩成半婦女曾遭受家庭暴力。聯合國婦女署駐華主任湯竹麗指出，比例與歐美差不多，她預計中國最快一到兩年會制定全國性反家暴法。但部分婦女因擔心受歧視不願舉報，社會觀念需要轉變。

成立25年的北京紅楓婦女服務中心創始人王行娟表示，封建男尊女卑的文化仍根深柢固，反家暴立法進度緩慢。她憂慮部分女性自立意識太弱，寧願依靠男性生活，家暴問題可能會惡化。
