歐巴馬將參加曼德拉追悼會

白宮官員表示，美國總統歐巴馬(Barack Obama)和夫人蜜雪兒(Michelle)，將參加10日在約翰尼斯堡舉行的南非前總統曼德拉(Nelson Mandela)全國追悼會。

曼德拉在5日辭世，葬禮訂在15日舉行，目前不清楚歐巴馬夫婦是否會在南非停留直到15日的葬禮舉行。

曼德拉全國追悼會將在可以容納9萬4千人的足球體育館舉行。在15日葬禮舉行前，曼德拉遺體將在11日移靈首都普勒托利亞，然後一連3天早上，靈柩將從當地殯儀館出發，穿過街道，送往政府所在地聯合大樓(Union Building)供人瞻仰，屆時民眾可以有機會夾道向這位當代偉人致敬。

包括多國總統、宗教領袖以及文化界重要人士都將出席曼德拉的葬禮。

白宮表示，歐巴馬伉儷將參加曼德拉全國追悼會，至於其它行程將在稍後公布。

白宮先前曾宣布，前總統小布希和夫人蘿拉(George W. and Laura Bush)，將和歐巴馬夫婦一同搭乘空軍一號專機前往南非參加葬禮。而另一位前總統柯林頓也已經表示，將和家人一同出席葬禮。在柯林頓執政時期，曼德拉成為南非首位黑人總統。
