美探測器設法解開火星大氣層變薄之謎

美國太空總署發射火星探測器，探索火星大氣層。

搭載「火星大氣與揮發演化」探測器的火箭在台北時間凌晨2點左右，在佛羅里達州卡納維爾角基地發射升空。

整個計劃耗資6億7千萬美元，攜帶3個儀器的探測器將飛行10個月，明年9月抵達火星軌道。

太空總署說，這次是要研究火星大氣層的變化，為何從遠古時期擁有濃厚大氣層，到現在大部份氣體消散，表面液態水也逐漸消失，變成寒冷而荒涼的星球。
