全美第15州 夏威夷承認同性婚

美國夏威夷州議會參議院，12日以19票贊成、4票反對的表決結果，通過同性婚姻合法化法案。民主黨籍的州長艾伯克隆比開心表示，他13日上午將立即簽署法案，12月2日生效，讓夏威夷成為美國第15個承認同性婚姻的州。消息傳出，聚集在議會大廈的數百位支持群眾，揮舞彩虹旗幟歡呼慶祝。

總統歐巴馬發表聲明說，他一直以在夏威夷出生為榮，州參議院的投票結果，讓他更感驕傲。他指出，該法案是「對自由與平等的肯定，將使美國更為強大。」目前，美國有14個州和哥倫比亞特區允許同志婚姻。伊利諾州參議院日前也通過同志婚姻法案，州長奎恩擬在20日前簽署。
