Focus和Corolla爭世界最暢銷車頭銜

世界最暢銷汽車是福特的Focus？還是豐田的Corolla？兩家公司正為此展開舌戰。

福特汽車23日宣布，Focus是今年上半年全球銷售冠軍，證據來自市調業者R. L. Polk & Co.所統計汽車註冊的數字。福特首席銷售分析師莫克指出，今年1月到6月共賣出589,709 輛Focus，較去年上半年增長20%，超越雄霸冠軍多年的Corolla。

但豐田汽車則辯稱，Corolla掀背車款是以Matrix的名稱在市場上銷售，另外也在美國以外的國家以不同名稱銷售幾乎與Corolla同款的車，若把這些數字也納入統計，Corolla仍是世界上最暢銷的車款。

福特的莫克表示，Focus的成長主要來自中國大陸，光是上半年即增長逾一倍，達到202,380輛。不過，Focus在美國本土的銷售較不那麼熱烈，今年截至9月底僅成長1%至188,654輛，相較下，根據Autodata的資料，今年前三季美國整體的汽車銷量成長逾8%。
