蘋果(Apple Inc.)香檳金色的iPhone 5s因大受歡迎、供給短缺而在拍賣網站上掀起競購熱潮，叫價甚至超過1萬美元！(見附圖，網址請見http://www.ebay.com/itm/Apple-iPhone-5S-16GB-Gold-Factory-Unlocked-Brand-New-VERY-HARD-FIND-/111174869600?afsrc=1)

Business Insider、CNET報導，eBay Inc.網站顯示，9月23日一台香檳金色iPhone 5s的結標價格高達10,100美元，位在美國的賣家「Papakar」是在週日(22日)展開標售，總計有51人參與競標。

相較之下，去年英國公司Goldstriker製作的24K黃金外殼iPhone 5售價為4,646美元，而iPhone 5s在蘋果美國官網僅要價649美元(含稅)。

根據AppleInsider 9月17日取得的研究報告，向來能準確預測蘋果產品訊息的凱基證券(KGI securities)分析師Ming-Chi Kuo指出，iPhone 5s受歡迎的香檳金色、太空灰色的良率皆偏低，因此需要更多的產能。他說，蘋果會將可成新增為iPhone 5s的金屬機殼供應商，希望藉此提高產量，預期可成會在明(2014)年第1季量產iPhone 5s機殼並開始出貨，Q1期間會佔總出貨量的8-13%。
