澳洲政壇變天　女總理吉拉德今請辭

由於澳洲將在今年9月舉行大選，面對自由黨來勢洶洶，吉拉德的支持度卻不斷下滑，去年7月她不顧強大的反對聲浪，堅持開徵碳排放稅，也引起不少民怨，因此這次黨魁選舉，可能也是工黨要保住執政的止血措施。

而由於雙方在選舉前就拿政治生涯當賭注，揚言落敗的一方就要退出政壇，因此，51歲的吉拉德，之後的動向也備受關注。
