美國總統（歐巴馬）到奧克拉荷馬龍捲風災區，慰問災民，他說，天地無情，不過災民並不孤獨，全美國都在為他們祈禱。

上星期一肆虐奧克拉荷馬的龍捲風，奪走27條人命，有三百多人受傷，一千兩百多棟民宅全毀，三萬三千多人受災，經濟損失達到二十億美元。

歐巴馬在災區的第一站是（廣場塔小學），有七個小學生被龍捲風奪命，校園面目全非，瓦礫堆上插著三面美國國旗，歐巴馬說，他了解災民的心情，也深信他們能重新站起來，不過他們需要幫助，歐巴馬簽署了救災命令，有關單位將加速撥款，聯邦緊急事務署的四百多名工作人員，準備長期駐留。
