阿尼古城位於亞美尼亞與土耳其邊界，屬於土耳其北部城市卡爾斯地區管轄。西元10世紀和11世紀時亞美尼亞人曾在阿尼古城居住，14世紀在土耳其的統治下被迫離開，古城就此廢棄。
據人民網報導，由於未能妥善保護，阿尼古城經常遭到洗劫和破壞。2010年全球遺產基金將阿尼古城列為全球12處瀕臨消失的文化遺產之一。2013年以來，當地文化部門陸續開始整理阿尼古城城牆遺址和部分原亞美尼亞教堂遺存。以下是5月13日拍攝的土耳其阿尼古城遺址。
