首屆映像‧智度之深港影像周日前在深圳F518時尚創意園落下帷幕，《西遊‧降魔篇》聯合導演郭子健香及周星馳（星爺）的御用導演李力持應邀出席閉幕式活動。
深圳晚報報導，李導透露《西遊‧降魔篇》市場反應非常好，為趁勢打鐵，星爺已經在籌拍續集《西遊列國》，《西遊列國》講述唐僧帶著徒弟們往西天取經的故事，其中有途經女兒國部分，劇中會出現豬八戒、唐僧與女兒國國王三者間的三角戀情。
據報導，星爺將出演劇中豬八戒，與文章主演的唐僧爭搶女國王會非常精采，而女國王的主演是誰還不知，但星爺正與內地和港台演員在洽談中，「星女郎」花落誰家估計下月中會有結果。
報導表示，雖然《西遊‧降魔篇》票房亮眼，但遭遇到了人物單薄、劇情同質化等質疑，但《西遊列國》星爺將親自上陣主演，多少彌補了影迷們的某些遺憾，對廣大星迷們來說將是莫大的驚喜！
