新北市連接泰山與林口的重要幹道「自強橋」9日下午通車，可望改善原本視野不佳問題，大幅降低車禍事故。

泰山區自強橋位於泰山自強路與大科路之間，是連接林口及泰山的重要道路。民國71年完工的舊橋，使用已逾三十年。舊橋型呈反向大S型曲線，造成駕駛視線不佳常發生車禍。

市府去年11月編列4685萬元改建，其中交通部新建工程局補助470萬，剩下的經費由市府編列預算。工務局表示，新自強橋長200公尺、寬10公尺，引道長約46公尺，採汽機車混合車道施作。

改建時盡量將道路、橋梁截彎取直改為圓弧狀，視線更加開闊，可減少路段視線死角與交通事故。而原本水泥橋梁改為鋼構，提高乘載重量，也可避免天災造成橋梁損害。

蔬果取代花卉 清大畢典很實用 Jun 8th 2013, 22:12 自由時報 –  〔自由時報記者蔡彰盛／竹市報導〕國立清華大學畢業典禮昨天舉行，今年以蔬果花束取代傳統花束，由畢業生代表在典禮將蔬果花束獻給校長，結束後還可以帶回去吃。校長陳力俊鼓勵學生要能了解問題、公正的判斷，不盲目的反對，將「青春不服從」發展成進步的動力。 陳力俊勉勵畢業生們，近年報考頂尖大學的博士班學生人數大幅減少，從經濟學基本供需原理看，在博士人數銳減，但需求面依舊的情況下，博士以稀為貴，未來將更炙手可熱，值得大家在服役或進入職場後多考慮。 甫獲清華大學名譽工學博士的潤泰集團總裁尹衍樑，以「挫折是進步的動力」為畢業生致詞勉勵。他以自己當初畢業後領著三百元月薪，日日超額時工作為例，「態度跟感恩的心決定未來的命運」，懂得感恩的人才能得到更多機會。 今年學士班計有一千四百一十九人、碩士班一千六百八十七人，以及博士班三百卅七人畢業，學生也為畢業典禮活動提供不少創意，設計「水清木華綠色畢業典禮」，使整個活動更為活潑。 資工系吳明宗是「發電腳踏車活動體驗」小組成員，他說系上同學幫忙寫計算腳踏車發電功率程式，透過數字轉換，更清楚人力發電的效益，實際體驗的幾名畢業生邊擦著汗水說：「以後會好好省電！」另外，校狗們昨天也換上印有祝福字樣的「校服」，在校園巡禮。 (繼續閱讀...)
