【周昭平／高雄報導】高雄市府觀光局與民間業者今年暑假將在澄清湖舉辦熱氣球升空活動，環保媽媽環境保護基金會上午發表聲明表示反對，強調此活動以發展觀光為名，但卻有汙染大高雄重要水源地之虞，呼籲相關單位應停止舉辦會汙染水源「異想天開」的活動。

該會董事長周春娣說，二、三十年前高雄水質為人詬病，經過眾人努力才逐漸改善，但熱汽球升空活動有污染水源地之虞，呼籲高雄人站起來，拒絕這場活動在澄清湖舉行，環保衛生單位也要以水汙法、飲用水管理條例、廢清法等規範，嚴格監督這場荒謬的活動。
