【曾雪蒨／台中報導】行政院為遏阻酒駕祭出公僕酒駕，直屬長官將遭連坐的鐵腕，臺中市長胡志強今日在市議會表示支持，他說「公務員支領人民納稅錢，必須清楚瞭解自己酒駕的行為，不僅對自己有害，還會連累自己的長官！」並主張：「酒駕還是嚴格一點比較好，遏阻酒駕是救命！相信中央還會持續針對酒駕連坐，研擬細節，包括如何處罰，如何連坐，是要減薪、記過、考績等處分的規定！」

至於媒體詢問，臺中市之前訂定包含酒駕「乘客連坐」等規定的台中市防制酒駕自治條例送議會表決卻遭否決，會不會覺得很可惜？
胡志強答稱：「這是一種遏阻酒駕的決心，也是一種警示！臺中市的進步與改善，一定要靠市府、議會一起努力！」並宣示，希望台中市不僅是「酒駕地獄」，還要成為「槍械地獄」、「吸毒地獄」、「走私槍械地獄」，「台中市絕對不允許守法的人吃虧，違法的人占便宜。」

【陸運鋒／台北報導】今天清晨3時許，台北市萬華中華路與開封街口，1輛自小客撞上安全島後翻車，救護車抵達時男子已自行爬出車外。

警方調查，簡姓駕駛(男，40歲)酒測值為0毫克，他自稱行經該路口時，因為天色昏暗視線不良，沒看見安全島所以才會撞上造成翻車，警方將車輛排除後已恢復通行。
