| 月眉糖廠105歲 歡樂一夏

〔自由時報記者張軒哲／后里報導〕后里月眉糖廠歡慶一百零五歲生日，將舉辦一系列「月眉糖樂慶」活動，有摸彩、親子著色、秤甘蔗等，並與進駐月眉糖廠的萬象大馬戲結合，邀請遊客一起來遊糖廠、吃冰棒、看馬戲。
月眉地區近年整合景點有成，糖廠、馬戲團、麗寶樂園、澤民樹園區等景點相鄰，業者在暑假期間推出各項活動攬客，台糖公司副總經理江銘宏表示，從六月廿九日起至九月一日每逢週末，糖廠都會舉辦「月眉糖廠建廠一百零五週年糖樂慶」活動，現場有蔗糖文化集印章及秤甘蔗、推啤酒、吃冰比賽，讓遊客體驗不同製糖文化。
活動期間於園區購物消費滿五百元，憑發票即可參加摸彩及加購價優惠，買愈多送愈多，獎項豐富。萬象大馬戲則打造一尊高達十二公尺的「科技黑金剛」，推出「世紀女飛人」秀，要讓暑假親子同遊糖廠，一同觀賞馬戲團演出。
月眉糖廠建於日治時期，民國八十八年因製糖產業衰退，停止製糖，轉型為觀光糖廠，有全國唯一的「囪底隧道」，園區花木扶疏，又可吃冰消暑。
