| 亞省洪災居民 免費補辦公民或簽證文件

【大紀元2013年07月05日訊】 加拿大移民部日前宣布，受洪災影響的阿爾伯塔省居民，其臨時居留簽證或永久居留簽證都將自動獲得延期或恢復；災民申請補發公民證或其它居留證件，都可免去申請費。此優惠政策將持續到2013年9月19日。
移民部長肯尼（Jason Kenney）7月2日宣布了上述措施，作為聯邦政府對亞省洪災區居民的一項援助，以幫助災民盡快返回工作並照顧家庭。
這項優惠措施主要適用於在亞省受洪災影響的臨時和永久居民，申請工作簽證或學生簽證延期，或是申請補發在洪水中被毀壞的相關移民證件。申請者則須提供他們住在災區的證明或向紅十字會（Red Cross）登記。臨時訪客是指在2013年6月20日時，為合法居留者。
此外，移民部還設置了專線、電郵來接受此類申請。亞省災區居民可撥打1-888-242-2100，然後再撥7，將有專人接聽並告知如何處理這類申請。
專用電郵為prairies-situation@cic.gc.ca，申請者須在電子郵件裡提供自己的Unique Client Identifier (UCI#)，全名、生日和出生地，並在電郵主題（Subject）一欄註明URGENT: FLOOD。移民部就將會有工作人員跟進處理。
免繳申請費的文件包括工作簽證、學生簽證、楓葉卡以及公民證。
