狂犬疫情是否已嚴重蔓延，是全民最恐慌的事！狂犬病例再增一例，南投水里再確診一例染病鼬獾，全台目前發現共有5例狂犬病例，狂犬病疫情甚至可能已經蔓延到錢鼠物種身上，但詳細檢驗結果要等到下週才能確認，而防檢局將在今(27)日稍後召開記者會，說明各地野生動物狂犬病毒檢測結果。
台東有民眾在家遭到疑似染病錢鼠攻擊，左腳拇趾被錢鼠劃破皮，所幸並沒有出血，台東衛生局評估後，認為民眾並沒有感染，所以並沒有施打狂犬疫苗，僅接受醫院的初步治療。
將錢鼠送檢後，防檢局表示，現在從傷人錢鼠身上驗出麗莎病毒第3型，但是狂犬病為麗莎病毒第1型，目前尚不能確診為染病錢鼠，只能列為疑似病例，詳細的確定化驗結果會在下週公布。
日前在南投水里有隻民眾飼養的狗，從野外咬回鼬獾屍體，確定診斷為染病鼬獾，全台出現第5例感染狂犬病例的野外動物，而把死屍叼回家的狗，防治所當下發現時就已被抓回動物收容所隔離，降低狂犬病疫情擴散的潛在危險。
