《CNBC》周日 (28日) 報導，全球廣告界本周出現有史以來最大的合併消息，法國陽獅集團 (Publicis Group) 和美國宏盟集團 (Omnicom Group Inc.) 將合而為一，市值 351 億美元的廣告龍頭於焉誕生，取代先前的業界霸主 WPP 。

市場正消化此一大膽協議的發展，估計可為雙方帶來 5 億美元的成本協同效應，然分析師們亦質疑雙方合併過程可能遭遇些複雜問題。

潛在問題包括，兩家業者的客戶族群分屬歐、美兩洲，需要有效結合企業間文化，並化解競爭客戶之間可能產生的利益衝突。

WPP 執行長 Martin Sorrell 對《CNBC》表示，要結合兩種相異的文化，或將構成相當的挑戰。他說到：「這是一步極為大膽、勇敢且讓人震驚的棋路。」

分析師們表示，本次合併不僅創造了全球廣告業的新霸主，也將重新改寫廣告業界的生態。

陽獅集團現年 71 歲的執行長 Maurice Levy 和宏盟集團 60 歲的執行長 John Wren，將共同營運合併後公司 2 年半時間，爾後便交與 Wren 獨挑大樑。

合併後的新公司總部位於紐約和巴黎，股票亦於此兩處上市，根據估計，整體交易案將於今 (2013) 年歲末或明年第 1 季告一段落。
